Dispute Settlement and Understanding Programme

About the Dispute Settlement and Understanding Programme

ICTSD’s research and dialogue programme on Trade and Dispute Settlement explores realistic strategies to enhance the understanding, legal capacity and participation of developing countries in multilateral, regional and bilateral trade and dispute settlement systems. Based on the premise that the ability to access dispute settlement systems is equally important to all countries, activities under this programme strengthen developing countries’ understanding of the options and potential strategies for advancing and defending their trade rights and objectives through appropriate dispute settlement systems.

*The ICTSD website is currently undergoing construction. As a result, many pages have missing data, information, or slight kinks. We are working to correct these problems and to have the site fully functional and updated by September 2008. Thank you for your patience in the interim.
